On 14 October 2007 the first Gold dust puppies named “Alicia Goldschatz vom Klosterbach” and “Anjalie Goldschetz vom Klosterbach) were born to “Bellini Butch Baron vom Klosterbach” and “Sissi Prinzess vom Klosterbach”. They were initially registered as “Biewer White Gold” when a genetics Biology teacher, Kirsten Sanchez-Meyer, saw the beautiful colouring and was intrigued by the recessive mutation.
Kirsten Sanchez-Meyer found that the Gold dust colour is a mutation in the skin; it is when eumalanin (black, brown colour) is formed in the skin but not visible to the eye but where phaemelanin (golden colouring) is. Kirsten Sanchez-Meyer’s continued interest in the breed led to the first Gold dust registration in Germany on the 12th December 2007.
Top Coat:The entire body will be pure White with broken Gold or continuous Gold with White collar, legs, breast and abdomen without any Gold. The tail can be White or Gold with White tip.
Eyes and Nose:The eyes are dark in colour and the nose is back in colour.
